Our Flag Football and Cheerleading league offers a positive environment for each participant, while also offering a great sports learning opportunity. Our focus is on the athlete’s total development - not only physically, but mentally, socially, and spiritually.
We are excited to once again offer this Flag Football and Cheerleading program to our surrounding communities for children aged 5-13.
Our league begins with a FREE 2-day clinic the beginning of August where athletes are taught and practice the fundamentals of the sport. This also gives the directors and coaching staff the opportunity to evaluate each athlete’s skill set. This process allows athletes to be evenly distributed across the teams in each division.General Schedule:
Practices are 1.5 hours long, one night each week @ Dryden Wesleyan Church
Each team will play 6 Games
Games last approximately 1 hour
5 Game Days will be held at the DWC football field on Sunday afternoons
The end of the season, game 6, will be held “Under the Lights” on Saturday mid October starting at 6PM

2024/25 Upward Basketball & Cheerleading
Program information:
Practices for basketball and cheerleading will begin the 16th of December 2024. Team practices are 1 hour long, one night a week, through February 28th, 2025.
First game day is Saturday January 4, 2025
Evaluation and Orientation:
Each athlete is required to attend one of the two basketball evaluations or cheerleading orientations we hold. They will take place at Dryden Wesleyan Church. Athletes will be sized for uniforms and basketball evaluation information will be used to develop balanced teams.

Open gym typically begins in October and runs through December, every Thursday from 7:00PM-9:00PM, unless otherwise specified.
Men ages 18+ are welcome to participate in our men’s basketball open gym & league at DWC.
Men's winter 2024 league play is complete. Check back soon for more information for the winter 2024/2025 season!

The Upward Sports Mission is to Promote the Discovery of Jesus Through Sports. Our DWC program is designed to be family friendly. It not only teaches individuals to become great athletes who play with passion, but also athletes who play with purpose. Our goal is that everyone involved might develop a relationship with Jesus Christ to become the mentally, physically, spiritually and socially strong/whole individual God created them to be.
